Betty sent these photos
to us to remember that day
so long ago!
The fall after
graduating from high school I enrolled at
BYU in Provo, Utah. My roommates were Helen
Ferney and Carole Rae Oswald. We
had a great time together and the following
spring I met Keith Larsen from Rexburg. We
were married in August in the Idaho Falls
Temple. We
continued our education at BYU until Keith’s
graduation and then moved to Rexburg where
we have lived all these years. We
went into the clothing business with a
brother-in-law and had four clothing stores
until the Teton Dam broke and flooded our
businesses and home. By
then we had seven sons and three daughters
so we divided the partnership and rebuilt
two of the clothing stores; the Classic
Shoppe and Keith’s, The Man’s Shop.
After Keith
retired we served a mission in the Alabama,
Birmingham Mission which was a choice
blessing. After
we returned from our mission, we began to
spend the winters in Orem, Utah because
several of our children had gone to BYU and
then married and lived in Utah.
At the present
time, we have 10 children, 58 grandchildren
and in a couple of weeks we will have 29
great-grandchildren. They
are the joy of our lives! Two
of our sons were in charge of our yearly
family reunion so in December of 2009 they
took 90 of our family on a Caribbean
cruise. What
a special, exciting time it was for all of
us! I
look forward to seeing many of you in
August. Our
thanks to all of the committee who have put
this reunion together. I’m
enjoying the web site and catching up on
your lives.
