During my senior year of High School I joined the National Guard. Upon
graduation the 116th Engr. Combate
unit was called to active duty for
deployment to Korea and that took care of
next 2 years.
When I was discharged from
the service I looked up a lovely student
nurse that I had been writing to and on the
30 of August 1952 Elizabeth Farnsworth and I
were married. We have 4 children Brett,
Brad, Betty and Bill, 13 grand children, 1
deceased, 8 are married with 3 in High
school and 1 in grade School. We have 8
great grand children with 2 more due in June
and 1 in December.
We have moved a number of time in the
last 57 years so we feel lucky to have 3 of
our children living close
in Salt Lake City with Brad not too far away
in Ucon, Idaho. We are not so fortunate
with our married Grand children. They are
scattered from Cyprus to Wisconsin ,Ohio 4
in Idaho and 1 in Cedar City, Utah so we do
not see our Great grand children as much as
we would like.
A big thanks to the reunion committee for
their obvious hard work in gathering
pictures, comments and addresses of
classmates all over the United States.
The National Guard reunion is on the 18th
of August so this worked out great. Hope to
see you on the 20th.
