After graduation I
attended the U of I for one year and then
married Howard Mead the next fall. We
lived in Idaho Falls where he worked as a
salesman for various car dealership until we
moved to Albany, Oregon with our four
children, Cydney, Maralee, Christy and Greg.
We lived there for two years where Howard
worked as a manager for a Chevrolet dealer.
We then, moved to Lompoc, California with
the same company where we stayed three
years. We then had an opportunity to
buy into Stoddard Ford here and moved back
in 1967.
I worked for a while for my daughter, Cydney
in her boutique on Park Ave. Then for
four years worked at the old Sacred Heart
Hospital and then Eastern Idaho Medical
Center. After than, I worked at
the Eastern Idaho Tumor Center. And
during the course of the next few years, we
became grandparents to Rainey, Melissa,
Derek, Brandon and Sophie and great
grandparents to Wyatt, Blaze, Johua and
Kayla.
Howard and I bought a condominium in Sun
City West, AZ in 1995 where we could spend a
good part of the winters playing golf and
enjoying the retirement experience.
Howard passed away in 2004. Since that
time I still go to AZ in the winter and come
back to enjoy summers here still playing
golf when possible and visiting old friends.
